Guidestar is an online Web-based directory of nonprofit organisations - community and voluntary organisations, charities, NGOs, philanthropies and foundations. It publishes extensive data about them at no cost to listed organisations, and makes this freely available to anybody who's interested.

This website was produced as part of a research project to explore the feasibility of building a Guidestar in Ireland, using public domain data from a representative sample of some 180 Irish nonprofits, edited and supplemented online by the organisations listed.

New log-on procedure: The pilot phase of the project finished in October 2008 but the website is still accessible to listed organisations, funders and other interested parties, using a password issued by the Guidestar Ireland office. If you have not received a password and would like to log-on, please contact Lindsay at lindsay@guidestar.ie or 01 678 9311.
